The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing purchasing activities from quotation through receipt, while leading the purchasing, materials, and shipping/receiving functions. This role manages supplier relationships, supports production requirements, and ensures efficient, compliant, and scalable supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, including supplier management.
  • Experience with government purchasing regulations preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and obtain a passport.
  • Due to federal contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. §1324b(a)(3).
  • Planning, negotiation, and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and develop team members.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Business Central preferred.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with suppliers and internal teams on technical and quality matters.

Responsibilities

  • Drive internal and external customer satisfaction by ensuring supplier on-time delivery, quality, and cost performance.
  • Develop and implement scalable supply chain strategies and processes to support company growth and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate key performance metrics, including cost, lead time, quality, and supplier performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to support strategic sourcing, cost reduction, and long-term partnerships.
  • Qualify and audit new and existing suppliers in alignment with technical, quality, and business requirements.
  • Resolve purchasing issues and escalations to maintain continuity of supply and support production schedules.
  • Make informed purchasing decisions based on cost, quality, delivery, and overall value to the organization and customer.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels and accuracy to prevent shortages and minimize excess stock.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, program management, finance, and production teams.
  • Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable to departmental and organizational goals (LMA).
  • Ensure compliance with government purchasing regulations and maintain adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Utilize company systems and tools to manage supply chain processes, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.
