About The Position

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the production capacity plan that best supports the overall business by analyzing inventory levels, production speed, and product demand. The role involves working with vendors and plants to determine optimal inventory levels and providing recommendations for improving operational efficiency. This requires strong analytical, quantitative, and computer skills to interpret and solve problems in logistics and manufacturing, aiming to avoid customer impact and meet operations costs, business service, and inventory goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years in demand planning or production scheduling
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to interact with a high degree of diplomacy.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical ability with problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment of internal & external resources.
  • Ability to lead by example.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-7 years in demand planning or production scheduling
  • ERP (SAP preferred) & software implementation experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze forecast data, including large opportunities documented in Sales Force, to pre-plan for changes in volume and pre-plan activities to support changes accordingly.
  • Monitor plant schedules to ensure product placement is optimized.
  • Monitor plant schedules and open backlog to optimize weekly availability, lead times, and shipping attainment.
  • Determine optimal inventory levels to maximize service levels while minimizing costs.
  • Program management for key customers and/or program activity as assigned, including assisting with the maintenance of tracking and planning files for markets such as dairy and beverage.
  • Assist Director, Supply Planning as required.
  • Support and drive continuous process improvement in support of the ORBIS Quality Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
