About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space has an immediate opportunity for a Missile Defense Programs Portfolio Supply Chain Manager. This role involves managing the supply chain organization, including subcontract program managers and subcontract administrators as direct reports. The position provides technical, programmatic, and subcontract leadership experience, including day-to-day direction. The manager will ensure program quality and mission success requirements are met by suppliers, who must adhere to the highest performance standards and meet their commitments. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with prime contract flow downs, managing new business requirements (RFPs to subs, technical evaluations, Basis of Estimate), and negotiating and finalizing subcontracts. The role also oversees the negotiation and coordination of subcontract modifications, ensures all contractual, schedule, and technical requirements are satisfied, and manages technical teams for program hardware and software support services. Additionally, the manager will engage in Supply Chain strategy for the Missile Defense Programs portfolio, attract, develop, and retain subcontract management talent, and mentor, coach, and advise subordinates in their professional development.

Requirements

  • 10+ professional experience within supply chain, finance, engineering, or program management or combination thereof.
  • Must possess well-developed negotiation skills and understanding of procurement/subcontracting practices, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Must successfully pass a drug and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated professional experience within the aerospace/defense industry or an adjacent industry.
  • Knowledge of LMAP (Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures).
  • Ability to understand complex technical issues and lead subcontract management teams to develop solutions.
  • Familiarity with Strategic and Missile Defense (SMD) programs including experience working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or other USG customers.
  • Highly effective at multi-tasking in fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with proposal activity (shaping, RFPs, proposal analysis), through execution of the work scope.
  • Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record of successful performance with a focus on mission success.
  • Possess excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization from peers to suppliers, as well as program and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the program quality and mission success requirements and the suppliers are managed to the highest performance standards and that they are meeting their commitments and requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with all appropriate prime contract flow downs and being responsible for new business requirements, including RFP's to subs, technical evaluations, and Basis of Estimate requirements through negotiations and definitization of the subcontractor.
  • Overseeing the negotiation and coordination of additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
  • Ensuring all contractual, schedule and technical requirements are satisfied and will be managing technical teams for program hardware and software support services.
  • Engaging in Supply Chain strategy for the overall Missile Defense Programs portfolio/mission area.
  • Attracting, developing, and retaining subcontract management talent to continually improve the group's performance.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and advising subordinates in their professional development.
