Supply Chain Manager
About The Position
Badland Batteries and Packet Digital are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead sourcing, procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory operations supporting secure, U.S.-made battery solutions for drones and unmanned systems. The role will influence supplier strategy, manufacturing scalability, product cost, and operational performance, and will help build a dedicated lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing capability for the UAS market. The Supply Chain Manager reports directly to the CEO and works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production teams. The position also leads and develops purchasing and inventory staff.
Requirements
- 7+ years of supply chain, procurement, sourcing, operations, or logistics experience.
- 5+ years leading supply chain, purchasing, planning, warehouse, or logistics teams.
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management experience.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management.
- Ability to build scalable processes in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, batteries, robotics, drones, or advanced manufacturing.
- Familiarity with NDAA, ITAR, EAR, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing, planning, inventory, warehouse, and logistics functions.
- Develop sourcing strategies for electronics, battery materials, PCBAs, semiconductors, and other critical components.
- Build and manage domestic and international supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and supply agreements.
- Improve supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
- Manage inventory strategies and material planning to support production.
- Mitigate supply chain risks through supplier diversification and contingency planning.
- Support NDAA, traceability, country-of-origin, and other compliance requirements.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production teams.
- Lead and develop purchasing and inventory staff.
