About The Position

Amazon is seeking an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results to join its supply chain team. The role involves creating and executing the worldwide supply chain by working closely with retail and operations partners globally to manage volume flows and fullness for fulfillment centers and delivery stations. AMXL (Amazon's Heavy/Bulky product market segment) was launched in September 2018 to support Amazon's expansion into this market. The NA AMXL Supply Chain Execution (SCE) team is crucial for the network's growth and profitability, responsible for capacity calibration, overseeing supply chain health, and implementing structural changes to meet cost, growth, and quality goals. AMXL has become a leading provider in heavy bulky fulfillment and delivery, supporting over $9B in gross merchandise sales with expected double-digit growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Responsibilities

  • Aligning and optimizing the FC network plan for labor and capacity constraints, ideal placement and buy volumes, and plan accuracy.
  • Improving tools to automate the planning process.
  • Providing an updated short to medium term aggregate fulfillment plan (up to 17 weeks) for the AMXL fulfillment network (US) weekly.
  • Managing multiple initiatives and projects.
  • Writing strategy documents that clearly communicate supply chain vision to senior leadership.
  • Working with Retail, Finance and Operations partners towards defining supply chain and operating models.
  • Forming cross-functional project teams, planning, organizing, managing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
  • Deep diving complex models and analyzing trade off decisions to ensure the best outcome for customers.
  • Formulating and owning volume projections and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Gathering Retail/FBA and partner inbound and outbound inventory flow forecasts on a weekly basis and turning the forecast into an operational plan.
  • Tracking execution against the plan and providing metrics to retail, ops leadership, and FCs.
  • Surfacing large variations to the plan to relevant teams and making adjustments when variability becomes too high for FCs to operationalize.
