The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI’s overall total rewards package. Position Summary: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for indirect goods and services that support food manufacturing operations. This role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The position partners closely with Plant Operations, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and Corporate functions to ensure uninterrupted plant performance and operational excellence. Indirect categories may include MRO (maintenance, repair & operations), sanitation supplies & services, PPE, packaging support materials, utilities, capital equipment, facility services, logistics services, IT systems, waste management, and professional services.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of food manufacturing, formulation, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
  • Experience with ERP systems & Procurement Software (SAP, Simfoni, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Job manages a team, has authority to hire and performance-manage the team.
  • Job leads/supervises/manages 1-5 employees.
  • Develop and implement category strategies for indirect spend.
  • Lead RFx processes and supplier negotiations focused on cost, service, quality, and compliance.
  • Identify and deliver cost savings while protecting food safety and operational continuity.
  • Benchmark pricing and monitor market trends.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, based on organization standards within approved authority levels, and authorize purchase orders for goods of services.
  • Manage supplier performance through KPIs and scorecards.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Ensure supplier compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Mitigate supply and financial risks within the supplier base.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • Drive standardization of suppliers across multiple plant locations when applicable.
  • Track contract compliance and renewal timelines.
  • Ensure contracts meet legal, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Works collaboratively with facility level Operations, Quality and Accounting departments as well as Corporate Purchasing, Sales, and Product Development to develop and implement procurement and costing strategies.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, HR, Legal, Facilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Support budgeting and cost control initiatives.
  • Improve procurement policies, processes, and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Drive digital procurement initiatives and system enhancements (e.g., ERP, e-sourcing tools).
  • Develop and present reports on spend, savings, supplier performance, and risk exposure.
  • Track KPIs including cost savings, contract compliance, supplier OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), and spend under management.
  • This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures.  This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
