Requirements

  • High proficiency in Material Resource Planning (MRP).
  • High proficiency in communication and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency in recognizing obstacles and implementing solutions for positive results.
  • High proficiency in understanding financial principles, budget planning, cost control, and variance analysis.
  • High proficiency in leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and foster continuous improvement.
  • High proficiency in critical thinking and data analysis skills to interpret supply chain metrics, financial data, and performance reports.
  • High proficiency in organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects with attention to detail.
  • Medium proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Medium proficiency in supplier relationship management skills with domestic and global suppliers.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a similar field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in planning, purchasing, inventory, or warehousing in a strategic or leadership role, including experience with 3rd party manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee supply chain operations, including purchasing, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Manage the customer service team to ensure efficient handling of inquiries, orders, and issues.
  • Lead efforts to maintain strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service levels.
  • Monitor and drive key customer service metrics, such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance.
  • Plan and control all budgeted expenses within the materials department.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and monitor monthly performance against budget.
  • Oversee inventory management activities, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Resolve quality and service issues with vendors.
  • Develop management reports for tracking performance against plan.
  • Establish effective communication with other functional areas to support the corporate strategic plan.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure high quality and service levels for incoming materials.
  • Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, customer focus, respect, and process adherence.
  • Analyze training needs and develop training programs for personnel career development.
  • Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the site to align supply chain operations with business goals.
