About The Position

The Ford Supply Chain team is central to our ability to build great vehicles. As the manager for Tires, your team will be responsible for the sourcing of high‑quality components while driving cost, quality, and on‑time delivery. You’ll help shape a resilient supply chain so Ford can consistently deliver the vehicles our customers want.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-years leading a team and 8+ years of strategic buying or sourcing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Buyers to achieve program-level cost, quality, and material-efficiency targets across the full program lifecycle.
  • Own the supplier relationship strategy for Tires, implementing a proactive engagement model to improve supplier performance, capture innovation, and mitigate commercial and operational risk.
  • Define and execute long-term commodity strategies for tires that align with corporate objectives, secure sustainable supply, and maintain market competitiveness – including sourcing plans for future programs.
  • Partner with cross functional strategic teams to assess supply base footprint, evaluate supplier financial health, track emerging technologies and market trends, and convert insights into actionable sourcing and risk mitigation plans.
