About The Position

Javvy is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee materials planning, procurement, and supplier management for all raw materials, packaging, and accessories. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of materials from planning to production across Javvy's co-manufacturer network. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the material requirements plan (MRP), monitoring inventory levels, placing orders, and managing supplier relationships and negotiations. This position plays a key role in supporting Javvy's rapid growth in retail, e-commerce, and new product development. The role requires strong hands-on experience in materials planning and procurement, an understanding of the impact of supply decisions on business and P&L, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is a cross-functional role reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, collaborating with various departments including Demand Planning, Production, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, R&D, and Quality.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of materials planning, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
  • Hands-on experience running MRP or material planning, translating demand and production plans into material requirements and purchase orders.
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day purchasing and follow-up: placing POs, tracking open orders, expediting, and resolving inbound issues.
  • Experience planning materials for external co-manufacturers or contract manufacturers.
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation experience with a track record of driving cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Experience managing RFQs, contracts, supplier onboarding, and vendor performance.
  • Experience with supply continuity and supplier risk management.
  • Strong understanding of business financials and P&L drivers, with the ability to translate financial goals into procurement and sourcing strategy.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and strong attention to data accuracy (inventory, units of measure, receipts).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within high-growth companies across industries such as CPG, food & beverage, consumer products, supplements, or other fast-scaling brands.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Self-directed and highly organized in a remote setting, with clear, proactive written and verbal communication.
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator with strong ownership and follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with imported ingredients: long lead times, freight forwarders, customs, and managing slipping ETAs.
  • Background in powdered food, beverage, or supplement ingredients (e.g., proteins, collagen, flavors, dairy powders).
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or ISM CPSM certification.
  • Experience building planning tools, dashboards, or reporting from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Own the material requirements plan (MRP) and planning file for all raw materials, packaging, and accessories across multiple co-manufacturers.
  • Translate the demand and production plan into material requirements, accounting for BOMs, inventory, MOQs, and supplier lead times.
  • Monitor material coverage and upcoming shortages for the next 12+ weeks.
  • Generate timely purchase orders with appropriate quantities and delivery timing.
  • Balance supply continuity with inventory and cash flow, preventing stockouts and excess material.
  • Identify and communicate shortages, risks, and trade-offs to relevant teams and suppliers.
  • Track open purchase orders, confirm orders, monitor ETAs, and expedite shipments as needed.
  • Maintain inbound schedules and communicate changes to Production & Co-Manufacturing.
  • Ensure accuracy of ERP data for purchasing and inventory, including POs, item receipts, and receipt-to-invoice matching.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and co-manufacturers to resolve receiving discrepancies, shortages, and quality holds.
  • Serve as the primary owner of supplier relationships for raw materials, packaging, and accessories.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships focused on quality, reliability, scalability, and partnership.
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new and alternate suppliers.
  • Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, contracts, MOQs, lead times, payment terms, and service levels.
  • Partner with suppliers on capacity planning to support demand growth.
  • Understand business and P&L drivers to develop procurement and supplier strategies aligned with margin targets.
  • Monitor commodity markets, tariffs, freight trends, and supply market dynamics.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage RFQs, RFPs, and competitive bid processes.
  • Maintain pricing analysis, spend reporting, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning and Production & Co-Manufacturing to align material supply with the production schedule.
  • Partner with Finance on inventory, receiving, and invoice accuracy.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to qualify new materials and product changes.
  • Support innovation and new product launches through material planning and supplier coordination.
  • Ensure suppliers meet regulatory, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Design and improve planning, purchasing, and follow-up processes and tools (MRP, coverage and shortage reporting, PO tracking).
  • Build and maintain supplier scorecards and KPI tracking.
  • Own procurement and inventory data in NetSuite and improve system support for planning and purchasing.
  • Establish best practices and documentation for materials planning, purchasing, vendor management, and sourcing operations.
