About The Position

At Texas Children’s Hospital, the Supply Chain Management Associate helps ensure the proper stocking and delivery of supplies, linen, equipment, and other products throughout the hospital. The role includes supply and linen logistics, customer service, processing and delivering medical supplies and equipment, and tracking durable medical equipment (DME). Successful candidates must complete respiratory fit testing in accordance with occupational health and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of materials handling/distribution or customer service experience.
• Successful completion of respiratory fit testing.

Nice To Haves

• Materials handling/distribution experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform supply and linen logistics duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate PAR levels in supply rooms; maintain linen carts, including pillows, and count and restock items to PAR levels.
• Ensure patient-charge labels are created for appropriate products.
• Answer customer calls within three rings and respond to pages within 10 minutes; handle customer requests courteously and professionally.
• Receive, process, and deliver DME, products, and medical supplies to departments within established guidelines.
• Deliver products, packages, ad hoc supply requests, and supplemental equipment requests to designated delivery areas in requesting departments.
• Track DME accurately and promptly.
• Assist the Biomedical Engineering Department with recovery of equipment needing service.
• Complete duties and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel and in accordance with policies and procedures.
