Supply Chain Lead

Gimlet LabsSan Francisco, CA
$260,000 - $300,000

About The Position

Gimlet is building the next generation of AI infrastructure: large-scale AI datacenters and the orchestration platform that coordinates them. The future of AI will require vastly more compute than exists today. But as AI workloads become more complex and new hardware architectures emerge, simply deploying more GPUs isn't enough. The challenge is making increasingly diverse compute work together. Gimlet's platform intelligently partitions and routes workloads across heterogeneous hardware, enabling step-function improvements in performance and efficiency. Customers deploy through production-grade APIs without needing to think about hardware selection, placement, or optimization. We work with foundation labs, hyperscalers, and AI-native companies to power production workloads at massive scale and help define the infrastructure layer for the future of AI. About the role Gimlet Labs is seeking a Supply Chain Lead with strong experience supporting data center infrastructure deployments. This role will own planning, sourcing coordination, vendor management, material readiness, and execution support for infrastructure programs from forecast through deployment. The ideal candidate understands the complexity of hardware supply chains, including long-lead components, rack/network gear, cabling, servers, GPUs, and deployment-critical materials. They should be highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable working across engineering, procurement, logistics, deployment, finance, and vendor teams.

Requirements

  • Experience in supply chain, procurement, materials management, logistics, or infrastructure operations.
  • Direct experience supporting data centers, networking equipment, cabling, hardware deployments, or infrastructure rollouts.
  • Familiarity with GPUs, servers, switches, routers, optics, racks, power/cooling-related hardware, and structured cabling.
  • Strong understanding of BOM management, demand planning, inventory tracking, purchase orders, and supplier coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple deployment timelines and prioritize urgent material needs.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using spreadsheets, ERP systems, procurement tools, or inventory platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and operational teams.
  • Proven ability to identify risks early and drive issues to resolution.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, cloud, AI/ML, or high-performance computing environments.
  • Knowledge of GPU infrastructure supply chains, including server platforms, accelerators, networking, and rack integration.
  • Experience with global suppliers, contract manufacturers, or third-party logistics providers.
  • Familiarity with deployment lifecycle planning from design through production rollout.
  • Experience building dashboards, reports, or operational metrics for supply chain visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supply chain planning and execution for data center infrastructure deployments.
  • Manage material readiness for cables, optics, servers, racks, GPUs, hardware components, and related infrastructure assets.
  • Partner with engineering, deployment, procurement, and logistics teams to align demand forecasts, BOMs, timelines, and delivery schedules.
  • Track purchase orders, supplier commitments, inventory availability, lead times, and delivery risks.
  • Identify supply constraints, escalation paths, and mitigation plans for deployment-critical materials.
  • Support vendor and supplier management, including performance tracking, delivery updates, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate reporting on inventory status, shortages, delivery timelines, and deployment readiness.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and field deployment teams to ensure materials arrive on time and in the right configuration.
  • Drive process improvements across forecasting, material planning, supplier communication, and deployment handoffs.
  • Support cost, availability, and lead-time analysis for hardware and infrastructure programs.
