About The Position

Thermo Fisher Scientific's internship program is designed to identify and develop future leaders. Interns who perform exceptionally well and show leadership potential may be considered for full-time roles post-graduation, including positions in Leadership Development Programs (LDPs) or other early career opportunities. As a global company, geographic flexibility and mobility are required for both the internship and potential future employment. Placement in internships, LDPs, or full-time roles depends on business needs and organizational priorities. This role requires onsite and in-office work as an essential function. The Supply Chain Intern will support customer supply chain and demand planning activities, aiming to enhance service, visibility, and operational performance. This involves cross-functional collaboration with various departments to analyze data, identify improvements, and support key customers and initiatives.

Requirements

Undergraduate student completing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Data Analytics / Data Science, Business Administration, Logistics or related field between December 2027 – June 2028.
Previous related internships and / or work experience totaling 1+ years experience required.
Proven leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, Greek life, community service, volunteer organizations, campus programs, military service, or other leadership roles.
A track record of influencing others, leading initiatives, driving results, and creating positive impact within teams and organizations.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems.
Evidence of grit, resilience, and perseverance when facing challenges, setbacks, or competing priorities.
Strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and an innovative mindset.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
Geographic mobility and flexibility required to pursue internship and future career opportunities in locations aligned with business needs.
Onsite and in-office work is an essential function of this role and is required throughout the program and in future placements to support collaboration across businesses, functions, and locations.

Responsibilities

Analyze supply chain performance metrics, including customer service levels, forecast accuracy, inventory, backorders, and other key performance indicators.
Support customer demand and supply planning through trend analysis, gap identification, and assessment of potential risks and opportunities.
Participate in collaborative planning activities with internal stakeholders and customers, as appropriate.
Identify opportunities to improve supply chain processes, reporting, and workflows.
Support root-cause analysis of supply chain and customer service performance issues and assist in developing corrective actions.
Utilize analytical and productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and ChatGPT to analyze data, develop insights, support reporting and visualization, and drive process improvement activities.
