About The Position

The Supply Chain Intern supports the Supply Chain team by executing operational tasks, monitoring reports, and assisting with day-to-day supply chain vendor and distributor follow-up. The role provides hands-on exposure to retail Supply Chain operations, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced grocery environment. The internship is located in-office five days a week at the Central Store Support office in Rockville, Maryland.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
Broad understanding of business issues and metrics.
Analytical skills, including the ability to manipulate data.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and ask questions.

Responsibilities

Run and distribute recurring reports related to product availability, vendor performance, and store ordering.
Review reports for accuracy and completeness.
Identify basic trends, discrepancies, or anomalies in data and flag them for further investigation.
Help track vendor performance metrics and follow up on routine compliance issues.
Partner with internal teams to support daily operations.
Assist Supply Chain team members with various tasks and analysis.
Observe vendor and distributor meetings.
Assist with meeting preparation materials and note-taking as directed.
Communicate routine updates and issues clearly and promptly.
Support communication with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding supply concerns.
Participate in other department tasks and projects as instructed.
