About The Position

Oshkosh Delivery, an Oshkosh Corporation company, designs and manufactures advanced delivery vehicles focused on reliability, driver experience, and technology. The Supply Chain Intern assists with strategic purchasing, global sourcing, and operational duties within Defense Aftermarket. The role supports buyers and purchasing agents in procuring goods and services from suppliers, and may take on personal vendor accounts after gaining familiarity with J.D. Edwards systems. Duties may vary and are not all-inclusive.

Requirements

• Be a student pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations management, economics, logistics, packaging science, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of May 2028 or later.
• Completion of at least sophomore-year coursework or equivalent.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Willingness to work full-time hours during summers and breaks and part-time hours (around 20 hours per week) during the school year.

Responsibilities

• Review, transform, and upload supplier price lists.
• Send requests for quotes and gather and compile information needed to request supplier quotes.
• Extract data from JDE/SAS and other divisions.
• Download drawings.
• Communicate and collaborate with vendors to resolve problems, including through negotiation.
• Consult with sales personnel, accounting and finance, and engineers to ensure information is transferred accurately.
• Maintain vendor accounts, with the opportunity to gain personal vendor accounts after becoming comfortable with J.D. Edwards systems.
• Support Buyers and Purchasing Agents in procuring goods and services from suppliers.
