About The Position

This position provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while exposing the intern to procurement, supplier management, cost analysis, inventory management, reporting, and process improvement activities. Supports the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and visual analytics tools used by Purchasing and Supply Chain leadership. Gathers, organizes, and analyzes data to support supply chain improvement projects. Assists with supplier benchmarking, market research, and sourcing activities for consumable products and indirect material. Assists with maintaining reports, metrics, dashboards, and project documentation. Assists with Excel reporting projects, including spend analysis, inventory management, supplier performance metrics, purchasing trends, and supply chain data analysis. Supports supplier communications, quote requests, and follow-up activities as assigned. Participates in process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, standardization, documentation, and operational excellence. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Shipping, Receiving, and Accounting. Performs other related duties, projects, and assignments as required.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Interest in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management, manufacturing, operations, or business analytics
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act) or eligible to obtain export authorization.
