About The Position

The Logistics Intern supports the operational execution and management of transportation for Yusen’s Supply Chain Solutions customers. The role supports Logistics Operations, Account Management, Carrier Management, and Reporting. It is based in Jacksonville, Florida, and requires a hybrid onsite arrangement. Hours are flexible, with a maximum of 30 hours per week.

Requirements

Be an active degree-seeking student enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as Transportation and Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Multitask between accounts while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Be able to work across multiple system platforms.
Proactively seek new ideas for continuous improvement.
Inspire trust, work with integrity and ethically, and uphold organizational values.

Responsibilities

Track shipments by phone, email, and websites to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
Proactively manage delays and exceptions and escalate them as needed.
Review loads promptly and accurately for customer invoicing requirements and complete loads.
Update customer orders and loads by phone, email, or other media such as online portals.
Run system reports and work with Excel.
Participate in Kaizen projects.
Gain knowledge of transportation planning and routing processes.
Understand the US/Canada/Mexico carrier base landscape.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the management team.
