About The Position

Oshkosh Delivery is dedicated to redefining last-mile and commercial delivery by designing and manufacturing durable, efficient, and sustainable delivery vehicles. The Supply Chain Intern assists with strategic purchasing, global sourcing, and operational duties within Defense Aftermarket. The position supports Buyers and Purchasing Agents in procuring goods and services from suppliers and collaborates with internal teams and vendors to ensure information is transferred correctly and supplier issues are resolved. Duties listed are not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Be working toward a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations management, economics, logistics, packaging science, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of May 2028 or later.
• Have completed at least sophomore-year coursework or equivalent.
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Be willing to work full-time hours during summers and breaks and part-time hours, around 20 hours per week, during the school year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with strategic purchasing, global sourcing, and operational duties within Defense Aftermarket.
• Review, transform, and upload supplier price lists.
• Send requests for quotes and gather and compile the information needed to request quotes from suppliers.
• Extract data from JDE/SAS and other divisions.
• Download drawings.
• Collaborate and negotiate with vendors to solve problems.
• Consult with sales, accounting and finance, and engineering colleagues to ensure correct transfer of information.
• Maintain vendor accounts, with the opportunity to take on personal vendor accounts after becoming comfortable with J.D. Edwards systems.
• Support Buyers and Purchasing Agents in procuring goods and services from suppliers.
