About The Position

The Logistics Intern supports the operational execution and management of transportation for Yusen’s Supply Chain Solutions customers. The role supports Logistics Operations, Account Management, Carrier Management, and Reporting. It is a hybrid onsite position based in Jacksonville, Florida, with a maximum of 30 hours per week and flexible hours.

Requirements

Be an active degree-seeking student enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as Transportation and Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Demonstrate the ability to multitask between accounts while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Be able to work across multiple system platforms.
Proactively seek new ideas for continuous improvement.
Inspire trust, work with integrity and ethically, and uphold organizational values.

Responsibilities

Track shipments by phone, email, and websites to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
Proactively manage delays and exceptions and escalate them as needed.
Review loads for customer invoicing requirements, complete loads, and do so accurately and on time.
Update customer orders and loads by phone, email, or other means such as online portals.
Run system reports and work with Excel.
Participate in Kaizen projects.
Gain knowledge of transportation planning and routing processes.
Understand the U.S., Canada, and Mexico carrier base landscape.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the management team.
