About The Position

Our client is a premier, family-owned manufacturer in the artisan food industry for 40 years, serving as a leading national provider for major retailers and foodservice brands. The company is undergoing significant investment and expansion, including a strategic joint venture with a global partner and the construction of a state-of-the-art production facility, supporting double-digit year-over-year growth. This organization values an entrepreneurial spirit and offers long-term career paths. The role is for a high-ownership leader to manage the end-to-end supply chain, backfilling a senior leader who will provide on-site training and transition support. The Director will oversee a department with three direct reports managing warehouse, procurement, and logistics. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter who takes initiative.

Requirements

• Take full responsibility for the P&L and the outcomes of your department (Owner Mindset).
• Have heavy experience moving finished goods and understand the critical nature of frozen supply chains (Logistics Expert).
• Be comfortable with demand planning and have the "headroom" to grow as the company expands (Strategic & Tactical).
• Be self-sufficient within a few months and not rely on a "corporate box" (Self-Sufficient).
• Significant experience in supply chain leadership.
• Strong background in procurement for raw materials and packaging.
• Experience with ERP systems is required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in Food & Beverage or CPG is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee everything from raw ingredient and packaging procurement to last-mile customer deliveries (End-to-End Management).
• Manage a 100% third-party (3PL) trucking network and increasing ocean import volumes from Europe (Logistics & Distribution).
• Oversee internal cold storage sites and external 3PL freezer locations (Inventory & Warehousing).
• Maintain an industry-leading 99.9% customer fill rate (Operational Excellence).
• Support the implementation of a new 3,300-pallet semi-automatic freezer and assist in the migration to a Tier 1 ERP (SAP S4HANA) (Automation & Systems).
