About The Position

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will report to the Operations Manager and turn customer requests into accurate, competitive quotes. You will learn the company’s fastener products and import and domestic vendors, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Purchasing. The role involves calculating full costs, checking customer requirements, reviewing vendors, learning internal systems, supporting sourcing decisions, and maintaining quote records. Additional duties may be assigned as your skills develop.

Requirements

• Close attention to detail and accuracy, including catching errors before they reach customers.
• Strong math skills and comfort with costs, margins, conversions, and pricing calculations.
• Office, sourcing, and/or purchasing experience.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to learn technical product details and new systems quickly.
• Organization, reliability, and good time management.
• Flexibility when priorities change.
• High school diploma and two years of college or experience.

Nice To Haves

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in supply chain management.
• Good interpersonal skills and confidence on the phone.
• ISO 9001 experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotes from Sales quote sheets by determining the full cost of goods, including freight and secondary operations.
• Develop expertise in fastener products and import and domestic suppliers.
• Work with Sales to check prints, specifications, and customer requirements for quote accuracy.
• Research potential vendors and review approved vendors for product quality, delivery times, and pricing.
• Learn the internal computer system and how it relates to inventory and cost.
• Work with the V.P. of Operations and Import Purchaser on sourcing decisions.
• Maintain completed quote sheets and scan and save them to the cloud database.
• Take on new duties as skills develop.
