About The Position

The University of Iowa Health Care Supply Chain Department is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to manage supplies in operating rooms and clinic areas. The position serves as a Supply Chain Department liaison for clinics and operating rooms throughout the hospital and ISC, uses Microsoft Excel, SPM, and Tableau to locate supplies and instruments, and communicates promptly with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests. The role also involves moving throughout the hospital, transporting heavy case carts, and handling inventory on high or low shelving. Other duties may be assigned. This is a regular salaried position in Iowa City, Iowa, scheduled from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel.
Ability to communicate promptly with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests.
Ability to move throughout the hospital, move up to 25 pounds, and frequently transport heavy case carts.
Ability to position oneself to handle inventory on high or low shelving.

Nice To Haves

Experience using PeopleSoft, SPM, or Tableau.
Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.
Knowledge of supply chain management in a hospital setting.
Ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
