About The Position

The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for assisting with mfg. orders, purchase orders and reports. This role involves procuring goods and services, managing inventory, and providing customer support related to order status and completion dates. The associate will utilize the ERP system for reporting and data management, ensuring accuracy and timely closure of work orders. Additionally, they will manage the calibration log and incoming shipments.

  • Working knowledge of lean, six-sigma, and just-in-time processes, procedures, and reporting techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprint drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of, or in progress of APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification, desired.
  • Knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma Manufacturing process and methodologies a plus; as is a green or black belt certification.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and control.
  • Conversational proficiency in Spanish and/or German language is a plus.
  • Knowledge in ERP software such as SAP or Oracle and knowledge in SolidWorks and AutoCad is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Getting quotes and placing POs, following up with vendors.
  • Assisting with vendor set up.
  • Procuring goods and services, including MRO, raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, etc.
  • Assisting in the preparation of orders for manufacturing release.
  • Reviewing delivery dates for accuracy and identifying any past due dates.
  • Providing customer support.
  • Using ERP to assist in reports for POs, Mfg. orders, and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintaining a report of open work orders and ensuring they are closed in a timely manner.
  • Providing estimated date of completion of sales orders via ERP system.
  • Maintaining data integrity and process flow.
  • Inventory management (reviewing data for accuracy, physical counts).
  • Managing the calibration log.
  • Managing incoming shipments from EH.
