About The Position

Responsible for leading, managing, transforming, and developing the inventory and logistics of hospital warehouse docks. The role includes supply inventory management, warehouse management, product receiving and shipping, record keeping, order fulfillment, and materials transportation. The associate manages supplies coming to the hospital, primarily in the warehouse. Goals may include building a competitive inventory and logistics infrastructure, optimizing logistics and record-keeping, facilitating cycle counts, measuring inventory, and ensuring continuous improvement. The role also provides data and information to superiors to facilitate decision-making with ground-level information and insights on a periodic or ad-hoc basis, in accordance with Sentara Healthcare priorities.

Requirements

• One year of materials associate experience (required).

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage hospital warehouse dock inventory and logistics.
• Manage supply inventory and warehouse operations.
• Receive and ship products; maintain records, fulfill orders, and transport materials.
• Manage supplies coming to the hospital, primarily in the warehouse.
• Support development of inventory and logistics infrastructure, logistics and record-keeping optimization, cycle counts, inventory measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Provide data and ground-level information and insights to superiors to support periodic or ad-hoc decision-making.
