About The Position

Accenture’s Summer Analyst (Internship) Development Programs offer a kickstart to your consulting career. The internship program starts in June and runs for approximately 10 weeks. The Supply Chain & Engineering team partners with clients to improve day-to-day operations and equip their leaders for success in their supply chains. Through leadership development, associate engagement, and improved operational execution, clients can lower operating costs, retain talented workforces, and position their supply chain as a competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Masters in Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 to August 2028
  • Prior internship or work experience

  • Experience or coursework related to LEAN Six Sigma process improvement principles and practices

  • Fluency in at least one foreign language — Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Shadow and partner with client managers and associates to observe and learn processes for labor standard development, applying disciplines including Lean, Six Sigma, human factors and ergonomics, workstation design, queuing theory, and facility and process design.
  • Use observations to help identify opportunities to improve job methods, safety, or accuracy, and to remove wasted effort from operational processes.
  • Support the client team in prioritizing, implementing, and training associates on improved processes.
  • Participate in the labor standard development process, including documenting preferred methods, defining and writing elements, creating and testing UMT time study templates, educating and calibrating the time study team, collecting, entering, and analyzing time study data, identifying and tracking production tasks, and finalizing personal and fatigue allowances.
  • Assist in educating associates related to their successful participation in a Performance Management program, covering time and production tracking, calculating performance and incentive, how standards are developed, and how to be successful on-standard.
  • Help conduct associate brainstorming and training sessions effectively and clearly.
  • Represent Accenture professionally in all consultant/client relationships.
  • Engage in on-site, client-facing relationships with various levels in the organization, from associates to operations leaders, under the guidance of your project team.
