About The Position

The Supply Associate supports service operations by ensuring technicians have the correct parts when needed. The role manages inventory accuracy, processes incoming shipments, and provides customer service to internal and external customers. It is suited to detail-oriented individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to an automotive service operation.

Requirements

• Complete Supply Associate Workstation Certifications and adhere to competency standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately record data.
• Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet proficiency.
• Strong collaboration skills for working effectively with associates and vendors.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Effective verbal communication skills for customer and team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and provide the correct parts for customer vehicles.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts shipments into inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper stocking levels.
• Control supplies to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
• Allocate parts using CarMax internal systems to support smooth workflow.
• Return incorrect or defective parts to vendors promptly.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Benefits

• Paid sick time: up to 48 hours per year, accrued each pay period, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Paid vacation: 80 to 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on continuous service, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Paid holidays: 8 hours of pay for each of six scheduled holidays per year, plus one floating holiday, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Holiday premium pay when eligible associates work on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
• Full-time salaried associates receive paid time away as needed for sick time, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holiday, subject to manager approval.
