About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Supply Assistant for Central Services. This position is responsible for delivering and picking up department mail, packages, and freight across the UNR campus. Duties include receiving, sorting, scanning, and redelivering packages, U.S. mail, and freight, as well as processing package and freight returns. The Supply Assistant will also train and organize student employees to ensure accuracy and safety during delivery runs, prepare outgoing shipments and manage returned or damaged packages, complete the associated paperwork, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Six or more months of applicable experience as described in the job duties.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
• A valid Class “C” Nevada driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
• Pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and picking up department mail, packages, and freight across the UNR campus.
• Receiving, sorting, scanning, and redelivering packages, U.S. mail, and freight.
• Processing package and freight returns.
• Training and organizing student employees to ensure accuracy and safety during delivery runs.
• Preparing outgoing shipments.
• Managing returned or damaged packages.
• Completing associated paperwork.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
