About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist (Experienced or Senior) to support in Hazelwood, MO! This position will be responsible for managing suppliers, NCR Review, RCCA completion, First Article Inspections (FAI), to include understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Successful candidates will have experience in Integrated Project Teams, interrogating models, material review board processes, Purchase Order (PO) reviews and supplier management, including risk assessments and auditing.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience analyzing data, creating reports, and presenting results
  • More than 3 years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • More than 3 years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • More than 1 year of experience with First Article Inspections (FAI) (i.e. AS9102)
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • More than 3 years of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
  • More than 3 years of experience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS)
  • More than 3 years of experience leading and executing Advance Product Quality Planning Activities (APQP) at suppliers
  • Boeing First Article and Product Inspection Process knowledge
  • Experience managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external), customers, or suppliers
  • Experience working with Quality Standards in the Aviation Industry such as AS9100, AS9145, AS6500

Responsibilities

  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products.
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results. Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
  • Resolves routine issues and concerns
  • Certification reviews
  • Non-conformance reviews
  • Supplier Quality reporting
  • Works under minimal direction
  • Leads audits and assessments of complex supplier's systems, processes and products
  • Delegates product acceptance responsibility to suppliers
  • Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work
  • Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity
