About The Position

Henpen Consultants is recruiting a Supplier Quality Manager for a confidential, growing aerospace manufacturer in Olney, Texas. Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, this hands-on leader will build and manage the supplier quality program, strengthen supplier performance, and reduce supplier-related quality costs. The role combines program development, supplier audits, corrective action, and collaboration with suppliers ranging from small businesses to major aerospace manufacturers. The position is on-site and involves travel up to 50%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
7+ years of supplier quality experience.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and supplier management practices.
Experience with supplier audits, corrective actions, and performance improvement.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Ability to work on-site in Olney, Texas, and travel up to 50%.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Establish supplier quality policies, procedures, and performance systems.
Develop supplier scorecards, quality metrics, and accountability programs.
Lead supplier audits, qualification activities, and risk assessments.
Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and verify effective resolution.
Help suppliers improve manufacturing quality and address recurring problems.
Establish processes to recover supplier-related quality costs.
Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to improve supplier performance.
Analyze quality trends and reduce incoming defects and supplier parts-per-million (PPM) rates.
Prioritize improvement efforts for high-risk and underperforming suppliers.
