About The Position

Perform a variety of Analyst duties to support and facilitate Supplier Quality's efforts to monitor, trend, and drive improvements in the Quality performance of Suppliers. Responsibilities may include: Extraction, analysis, and reporting of multiple sources of Supplier-related performance data; Periodic generation and publication of supplier Quality Scores, Risk Scores, and Audit Rank Scores; Development of new metrics to assess the health of individual Suppliers, of subsets of the Supply base, and of the entire Supply base; Analysis and monitoring of the performance of various Supplier Quality processes; Maintenance and correction of SAP data to facilitate PO placement and Material receipts, as required; Assignment/revision of Material inspection plans in SAP. Plans, organizes, directs and reports on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, as well as contract manufacturers, and/or contract manufacturing and laboratories to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements. Translates engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements. Assures that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by supplier and that a quality system is maintained. Conducts programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation. Prepares, maintains and reviews procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements. Reviews and analyzes corrective action reports and purchase orders in an effort to reduce and eliminate defects. Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities, and maintains feedback loops. May administer a certified supplier program or related programs in receiving inspection. May also audit third party manufacturers, due diligence and vendor selection process. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • MS-Excel: Intermediate-to-Advanced level of experience
  • SAP: Working-level knowledge of MM and QM modules
  • Cognos: Experience running, and preferably creating/revising, reports/queries
  • MS-PowerPoint: Intermediate-to-Advanced level of experience
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean training/certification
