About The Position

This role is instrumental in executing strategic activities and developing strategic direction for their area of responsibility. The Supplier Manager will achieve specific revenue, customer, and product goals within their assigned suppliers, consistent with corporate strategies. This position involves developing skills for managing suppliers, understanding their competitive landscape, and developing business with a global perspective. The Supplier Manager will develop mutually beneficial supplier relationships and promote Mouser’s value proposition by fostering unique solutions and advantages for suppliers, positioning Mouser as the preferred go-to-market partner. They will advocate for assigned suppliers by promoting their market value internally. The role requires analyzing the assigned portfolio to identify new opportunities for growth, continuously researching, discovering, and recommending new products and advanced technologies to support new designs for customers. The Supplier Manager will also identify, recommend, and champion unique marketing opportunities for their assigned suppliers, utilizing Mouser’s marketing tools and teams. Managing the flow of supplier’s new products and technologies into Mouser involves providing proper content to functional teams (NPI, Technical Marketing, Data, Pricing Management, etc.) to ensure timely execution and customer access to the newest products and information. Data integrity is maintained by confirming systems/databases reflect accurate product information, and inventory breadth and depth are managed within company goals by maintaining a product mix that meets corporate financial objectives, category strategies, and customer requirements. The role demands swift responses to Mouser teams and departments with decisive and relevant customer-focused solutions. Working within a Supplier Management Team, the individual will coordinate activities with suppliers and functional teams through effective communication, project, and resource management, staying up-to-date with policies, procedures, and processes. The role may also involve consulting and educating management on supplier strategies, initiatives, and planning, and executing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Skill Evaluation: Behavioral (80%); Excel (80%)
  • Has acceptable driving record and can provide current, valid driver’s license and current proof of insurance
  • Advanced knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, internal Mouser systems
  • Developing knowledge of global market trend analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Technical Discipline preferred.
  • Five years’ progressive industry related experience preferred - including sales, marketing, product management, distribution, asset management, etc.
