Supplements Department Manager
About The Position
Goodness Me! is hiring a full-time Supplement Department Manager for their Guelph store location. This role involves connecting with customers daily, making a positive impact on their lives, and working with suppliers to gain product knowledge. The manager will ensure a positive customer experience by greeting customers, offering assistance, recommending products, and providing information. They will also maintain a high level of product and service knowledge, professionalism, and build customer relationships. Responsibilities include stock rotation, inventory management, merchandising, promotional activities, and assisting with department cleanliness. The role also involves executing performance management conversations with team members, assisting in rolling out new policies, and ensuring team compliance.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of previous retail management experience, preferably in supplements, herbal remedies, and personal care products
- Experience in maintaining operational excellence in retail stores (payroll, shrink and inventory management, etc).
- A solid understanding of sales forecasts for establishing key targets for the department.
- Driven and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- A strong understanding of or education in Holistic Nutrition or Natural Health is required

- Diploma or certificate in Holistic Nutrition or Natural Health
Responsibilities
- Ensure a highly positive Goodness Me! experience by enthusiastically greeting each customer, offering assistance, recommending appropriate products, and providing relevant information.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.
- Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and returning customers.
- Replace used stock, rotate current stock, and ensure satisfactory inventory levels.
- Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Assist with cleaning and ensure an orderly supplement department.
- Execute performance management conversations with team members within the department.
- Assist in rolling out new policies and ensure team members are compliant.
