About The Position

Directs organizational unit operations through subordinates performing complex clerical, technical, and administrative assignments. Responsible for assigned program segment providing services in support of supply distribution program related to supply support operations. Conducts continuing review and analysis of assigned operational area and evaluates the effectiveness of work operations. Exercises control over the supply and distribution of assigned items to ensure optimum utilization of current assets, specialized storage activities and rapid reaction time in support of DoD programs. Serves as a supervisor of an organizational unit.

  • Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access
  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.

  • Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.

  • Supervisory Probation: Required
  • Completion of Supervisory Certification Program: Required
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
  • Reviews distribution patterns, geographical location, pipeline time, transportation requirements and storage mission pattern and distributes or redistributes assets accordingly.
  • Experience in the administrative and technical nature of Distribution Supply Operations and Programs
