About The Position

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. Duties WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Public Health Analyst, you will: Manage the Region by developing strategic and tactical plans for the states and territories included in their region to achieve HRSA and IEA goals. Develop and maintain relationships with state, territory, local, and tribal government leaders and create new partnerships with key stakeholders to address HRSA's key priorities. Sustain close working relationships with HRSA senior leadership to assure that the Regional Offices' staff partnerships, collaborations and technical assistance activities are coordinated within the Agency. Present regional surveillance and analysis of health care trends and make recommendations to HRSA leadership, government officials and stakeholders to improve policies and programs. Serve as a member of the IEA management team and exercise management authority for general administration of HRSA's regional offices.

  • Knowledge of organizational, operational, and programmatic concepts and practices applied by public, private, or nonprofit agencies and organizations engaged in public health or other health-related activities.
  • Knowledge of the methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health or health-related programs in State and local settings.
  • Knowledge of a specialized public health program.
  • Knowledge of, and skill in, the application of administrative or analytical methods and techniques necessary for working within the framework of a public health or related organization and carrying out specific program functions.
  • Skill in oral and written communications, gathering and conveying information, making oral presentations, and preparing reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with state, territorial, local, and tribal government officials, healthcare organizations, and external stakeholders to support agency priorities, initiatives, and partnership activities.
  • Assisting in the implementation of strategic and operational plans for regional programs or initiatives, including coordinating activities across multiple jurisdictions to support organizational goals and improve program effectiveness.
  • Coordinating with senior leadership, program offices, and regional staff to support cross-functional collaboration, provide technical assistance, and ensure alignment of regional activities with agency objectives and policies.
  • Analyzing regional healthcare trends, program data, and stakeholder feedback to identify emerging issues, prepare reports and briefings, and provide recommendations to leadership to support policy and program improvement efforts.
  • Supporting the administration and operations of regional offices or multi-state programs, including managing projects, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, and contributing to organizational planning and management initiatives.
