About The Position

The Supervisory Epidemiologist for Infectious Diseases provides advanced scientific leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for infectious disease surveillance, investigation, and response activities. This position oversees a team of epidemiologists and public health professionals, ensuring high-quality data analysis, timely reporting, and coordinated outbreak response. The role requires deep subject-matter expertise in infectious diseases, strong analytical skills, and the ability to guide complex public health programs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, infectious diseases, applied epidemiology or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse population
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to hold strict confidentiality
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and coach others
  • Advanced computer and math skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
