About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases (ID) is responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals receiving antimicrobials. They will manage antimicrobial therapy to optimize clinical outcomes and lead hospital-wide stewardship initiatives. The responsibilities include real-time feedback on antimicrobial use, developing evidence-based guidelines, and collaborating with microbiology, nursing, and medical staff on quality improvement projects. Beyond clinical duties, you will mentor pharmacy residents and students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (ASHP Accredited)
  • WV Board of Pharmacy Licensure
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience (inpatient hospital setting or previous involvement in a prior informatics role)

Nice To Haves

  • Pharm.D. or Master's degree related to pharmacy
  • PGY2 Pharmacy Residency (ASHP Accredited)
  • 2+ Years of Position-Related Experience
