About The Position

The Warehouse & Materials Supervisor oversees daily warehouse, inventory, and material management operations to support manufacturing and supply chain objectives within a cGMP‑regulated environment. This role provides direct supervision to warehouse and materials personnel, ensures compliance with regulatory and safety requirements, and drives continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency. The Supervisor serves as a key link between operations, quality, and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day‑to‑day warehouse and materials operations, including receiving, storage, staging, material issuance, and shipping activities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and materials employees; manage staffing, schedules, attendance, vacation coverage, and performance evaluations.
  • Assign work tasks and priorities to ensure timely material availability aligned with production schedules.
  • Utilize SAP to track inventory, materials movement, transactions, and physical inventory adjustments.
  • Conduct and oversee cycle counts and physical inventory counts; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve complex material, inventory, and supply chain issues; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with cGMP, SOPs, safety requirements, and audit readiness standards.
  • Author, review, revise, and approve SOPs, work instructions, change controls, and documentation related to warehouse and materials processes.
  • Monitor and report warehouse and materials KPIs; analyze trends to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Establish visual management tools and metrics to improve performance, audit readiness, and process transparency.
  • Lead or participate in cross‑functional teams and interdepartmental meetings involving Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Engineering.
  • Investigate deviations, initiate appropriate actions, and ensure timely closure of deviations, CAPAs, and change actions.
  • Coordinate activities with support organizations and represent the site during audits, inspections, and organization‑wide initiatives.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and compliant with SOPs, safety practices, PPE requirements, and gowning procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, inventory accuracy, waste reduction, quality, and cost control.
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
  • Support budgeting, cost analysis, purchase card transactions, and evaluation of cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Serve as backup for the immediate manager when needed and provide leadership continuity.
