Requirements

  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Experience in project management or site supervision
  • Experience working with MS Word (2 years)
  • Aptitudes for manual and technical work
  • Ability to operate various equipment such as tractor, forklift, ¾ ton truck etc.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Sense of challenge, perseverance, autonomy and ability to mobilize a team
  • Good physical condition, able to lift loads of 50lbs (22.5kg) with ease
  • Ability to work in a noisy, hot and/or cold outdoor environment
  • Ability to work under pressure

Nice To Haves

  • College diploma (DEC) in building mechanics (an asset), asset management or other related discipline

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and distribute tasks to the team under his/her responsibility and ensure compliance with the standards dictated by the organization
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards
  • Manage and follow up with external suppliers and subcontractors
  • Maintain mechanical and electrical rooms, workshops, warehouses and other departmental premises in good order
  • Carry out repairs of all kinds, as required
  • Perform calibration, adjustment, modification and programming operations on various controls
  • Ensure proper operation of systems (heating, air conditioning, ventilation, geothermal, refrigeration, controls, etc.)
  • Participate in the implementation and use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System and a building automation system
  • Inspect kettles, generators, air exchangers, air and water filters, etc. on a regular basis
  • Participate in bath water treatments
  • Collaborate with the Manager in personnel management, integration of new employees, approval of hours and management of absences
  • Communicate relevant information with the Manager between shift changes
  • Communicate equipment requirements to the Manager as needed
  • Carry out any other related tasks requested by his/her immediate superior or required by his/her duties
