About The Position

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Supervisor, Security. This is a full-time position with a mid-shift schedule. The role is responsible for the operations and success of a security department within a division, supporting the security manager in ensuring the safety and security of the division. The position assumes responsibility, accountability, and provides leadership for daily operations, coordination of work, quality and service, and team member supervision in the assigned area of the operating center. The Supervisor will facilitate the work of assignment teams through scheduling and assignment of staff, coordination of quality improvement activities, resolution of customer service issues, and management and monitoring of resource utilization. This role effectively coordinates operating center work, manages resources, and participates in goal accomplishments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Min of 4-years security experience
  • NC Drivers License
  • Certified Advanced Healthcare Security Officer (CAHSO) certification by International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) must be successfully completed and obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Handle with Care de-escalation training and certification must be successfully completed and obtained within 180 days of hire
