About The Position

Oversees and maintains the flow and balance of work in the Security Department. Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, and for ensuring that the standards of service are met for the Security department in a manner consistent with SMC's/EDM's mission, vision and values. Persons holding this position must be able to perform all of the duties and functions of a Security Officer, including initial incident response, interviewing and investigations. Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent or two years of related training and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in healthcare security
• FEMA Level 100 or higher certification Upon hire
• Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving.
• Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Security Officer Certification and Supervisory Development Certification through International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety Upon hire
• 2 years of related experience and/or training desired, preferably in Healthcare Security and Safety
