About The Position

As a Supervisor, Scheduling, you are responsible for working with and supporting all productions across the USA Sports portfolio, including but not limited to Golf, NASCAR, and WNBA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of the roles of technical crew and union rules
  • 3 plus years of experience in broadcasting, production operations, or a related field; sports broadcast experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools; experience with crewing or workforce management systems preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with independence and ownership, making decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Production, Technical, and Operations leadership
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple productions and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to assess situations quickly and take decisive action
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with freelance crew, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Proactive, accountable, and solutions-oriented, with a focus on driving outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the end-to-end crewing process for remote productions, including sourcing, availability checks, rate negotiation, and hiring of freelance technical personnel to ensure all roles are filled in advance of each event
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Technical Managers, Production Managers, and freelance staff, ensuring alignment on staffing needs and production requirements
  • Oversee the development, accuracy, and distribution of detailed crew sheets, ensuring all information is complete and production-ready
  • Provide oversight of crew logistics communication, ensuring timely delivery of information for cost-efficient travel planning and execution
  • Support day-to-day scheduling operations and proactively manage last-minute changes, including program updates, call-outs, and location changes, minimizing impact to production
  • Guide junior staff or coordinators, providing direction and ensuring adherence to established crewing processes and standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll support across assigned events, resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Utilization of internal crewing systems, including oversight of onboarding workflows and data integrity for new and existing personnel
  • Anticipate operational risks and escalate or resolve issues in real time, exercising sound judgment in high-pressure environments
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying workflow gaps and implementing more efficient crewing and scheduling practices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of production and operations teams
