About The Position

The Design Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the proper design execution of McDonald’s USA restaurants. They will accomplish this by providing constructive and timely guidance to the field and local consultants with regards to exterior branding, interior décor design and site planning. This role requires about 25% travel (about once a quarter) - travel is typically to meetings and/or job site visits.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in related field is required.
  • Previous design experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous architectural or engineering experience within the commercial real estate space is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Real Estate and Construction teams on plan production
  • Filling out the USRD Project Request Form (PRF), in association with the ACM/ECM
  • Brand Review and US Facilities process and provide final Brand review.
  • Gathering pertaining plans (Floor Plan, Building Elevations, Site Plan) for RE’s Transaction Manager’s use for obtaining third-party approvals and assist Transaction Managers and coordinators in obtaining all necessary approvals (may be required to be on monthly calls with developers)
  • Coordination with A/E firms to supply necessary Construction Documents to the project’s Permit Expeditor and assist on all comments from permitting entities.
  • Responsible for entering all critical dates into Smartsheets (When A/E Plans ordered and when due from vendors). This will help in expediting plans dependent upon which locations can move faster in the pipeline. This would remove the ACM and Coordinator from having to input dates associated with A/E.
