The Regulatory Affairs Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight for the Regulatory Affairs function, managing the day to day activities of a team of regulatory compliance professionals. This role is accountable for high level management, evaluation, mentorship, and coaching of direct reports, ensuring strong performance and execution of core regulatory responsibilities. In partnership with the Regulatory Affairs Manager, the Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining organizational compliance with complex requirements issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Department Health Care Services (DHCS), Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC), and Covered California, as these apply to the team’s assigned line of business. This position serves as the secondary liaison to regulatory agencies, representing the Plan in regulatory interactions and supporting strategic compliance activities. The Regulatory Affairs Supervisor acts as an expert internal resource, providing advanced analysis and interpretation of regulatory policy guidance and offering guidance to Business Units to ensure alignment with regulatory and contractual obligations. This role collaborates cross functionally to support enterprise wide compliance, risk mitigation, and readiness for regulatory audits and inquiries.
