About The Position

The Supervisor, Project Gold is an entry-level leadership role in DSV’s Solutions division. This traveling position may require travel to other sites more than 50% of the time. The supervisor leads production associates performing freight loading and unloading, materials accounting across multiple systems, and the assembly and installation of server racks and their components. The role oversees inventory and material workflows, promotes safety and quality, supports associates with work-related questions, and helps improve documented procedures. The position is based in Sterling, Virginia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Solid interpersonal skills.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Must be capable of performing all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to pass any required federal, state, or local government, airport, or company background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

Nice To Haves

• Generally, 3–6 years of experience in material handling operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production associates performing freight loading and unloading, materials accounting, and server rack assembly and installation.
• Organize and coordinate cycle counts, inventory replenishments, and material returns.
• Ensure adequate safety measures are followed to protect personnel and property.
• Advise subordinates on questions or problems related to work activities.
• Monitor work and inspect production areas for accuracy, neatness, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Recommend and implement documented procedural changes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Perform or assist subordinates with their duties.
• Maintain service level agreements using existing systems and tools, and ensure subordinates follow safety protocols and standards.
• Interact with customers, peers, and other site stakeholders as well as subordinates.
