The Supervisor, Production provides leadership to team leads and a team of hourly production employees, ensuring the team meets production targets safely, on time, and to established quality standards. This role involves providing leadership to team leaders and front-line hourly production team members; ensuring a safe work environment, defining expectations, providing resources, coaching/teaching/train associates, ensuring accountability, and providing feedback. The position also involves developing, implementing, and auditing daily standard work, driving a culture of continuous improvement, conducting root cause analysis and developing/implementing corrective action plans, maintaining the production schedule to meet quality and productivity requirements, and maintaining good inventory control procedures for raw materials. The Supervisor will partner with supply chain, quality, shipping, and other departments to ensure production targets are met safely, on time, and to established quality standards, and ensure timely response to operational issues impacting customer expectations and project cycle time performance. This role requires knowledge of company policies and the ability to engage appropriate resources (HR, Safety, etc.) when needed. The Supervisor will support, communicate, implement, sustain, and consistently enforce all company policies/procedures, and build and sustain good morale and attitudes among reporting associates. Additionally, the role includes initiating requisitions for open positions, interviewing and determining the best candidate for a position, and documenting associate skills and knowledge to create a skills matrix of employee training needs and accomplishments. The ability to capture/analyze data regarding productivity, understand through observations the causes for high and low productivity, understand production requirements and direct resources appropriately to procure shipment items, and communicate decisions with data and documentation are essential. Maintaining accurate timekeeping in ADP for all assigned direct reports and enforcing safety rules, practices, and procedures to assure the safety of associates, buildings, grounds, and machinery are also key responsibilities.
