Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in a related field required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or related role; industry experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes; company products preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to create product and testing processes and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement processes, discrepant material review, and root cause investigation.
  • Experience providing manufacturing process and quality engineering support.

Responsibilities

  • Leads assembly line shifts, ensuring execution of production activities and requirements; identifies resources to meet production needs, schedule, and expectations.
  • Identifies and communicates information on product quality, defect prevention, product disposition, and repair activity to cross-functional teams; escalates concerns.
  • Assists in the resolution of part shortages or expediting product.
  • Responsible for monitoring daily staffing assignments.
  • Communicates workspace cleanliness responsibilities, ensuring adequate completion.
  • Promotes proper safety practices, ensuring adherence to established safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for setting and communicating daily objectives, ensuring alignment with department goals.
  • Leads continuous improvement activities impacting manufacturing processes, procedures, and production.
  • Develops continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Authors work instruction documentation for a wide variety of manufacturing processes.
  • Documents completion of production processes.
  • Assists with basic troubleshooting issues as required.
  • Trains and mentors less experienced team members.
  • Customarily and regularly directs the work and manages the personnel issues of direct report employees, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and developing staff; recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.
