About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating with multiple departments to ensure proper paperwork and product flow. The Production Expeditor will verify and close work orders, ensuring documentation accuracy and quality standards. They will also complete various tasks to support production success, such as generating daily reports, submitting samples to the lab, and creating labels. Additionally, this position involves compiling Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other production data, coordinating training for accurate paperwork completion, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The role supports the Production Supervisor and Performance Leader in achieving production metrics and goals, and may involve other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Must have a working knowledge of computers, office equipment, calculator, telephone, and various word processing and spreadsheets software.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English in order to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Must be flexible and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of interpersonal situations, solve practical problems and deal with variable business situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
  • Good time management and organizational skills; initiative and desire to take on new tasks.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and special requests/changes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with multiple departments to obtain proper paperwork and/or product.
  • Verifies and closes work orders (eBPRs), ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and meets quality standards.
  • Completes various duties to set production up for success (e.g., daily production reports, pulling and submitting samples to Lab, creating and printing labels).
  • Compiles KPIs, reports, and other key production data to help share score with the team.
  • Coordinates training efforts to ensure that paperwork is accurately completed by operations.
  • Continuously looks for opportunities to improve current processes.
  • Consistently supports Production Supervisor and Performance Leader in rallying the team to hit production metrics and goals.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned and needed.
