About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of proven production expeditor experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Proficient in multitasking, effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Proficient PC skills (email, scan & upload documents, internet, Microsoft Office, etc.), including Epicor ERP / MRP systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
  • Willingness to work weekends and overtime hours, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules.
  • Available for on-call duty as scheduled, demonstrating readiness to respond to work-related needs outside of regular hours.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production.
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate material shortages or excesses to optimize production efficiency.
  • Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy, resolving any discrepancies with suppliers as necessary.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to prioritize work orders and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Expedite urgent orders and address any bottlenecks in the production process to minimize delays.
  • Communicate with relevant departments to ensure seamless flow of materials and information throughout the production cycle.
  • Monitor production schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Identify potential delays or conflicts and proactively implement solutions to maintain workflow continuity.
  • Update production schedules as needed and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of material transactions, production activities, and inventory levels.
  • Generate reports on production metrics, such as lead times, throughput, and inventory turnover.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards expediting orders and addressing potential production delays. Actively seek out opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency, ensuring that tasks are completed promptly, and deadlines are met.
  • When faced with unexpected challenges or obstacles in the manufacturing process, exhibit a sense of urgency in resolving issues. Take immediate action to assess the situation, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize disruptions and keep production on track.
  • Collaborate with quality control team to ensure products meet specified quality standards.
  • Review daily hotshot board for production order accuracy to ensure stock orders can be fulfilled and sales order have a designated job made to the floor.
  • Track daily production progress on the floor to ensure fluidity of processing and on time delivery.
  • Be auxiliary support to job completion and closing processing.
  • Be auxiliary support to stock job planning and creation process.
  • Participate in quality inspections and assist in implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback and suggesting process enhancements.
  • Execute various tasks, as assigned by your manager, supervisor, or company officer, whether within your standard duties or as requested beyond regular responsibilities.
