The Supervisor, Production – Fabrication provides leadership to team leads and a team of hourly production employees, ensuring the team meets production targets safely, on time, and to established quality standards. This role is responsible for providing leadership to team leaders and front-line hourly production team members; ensuring a safe work environment, defining expectations, providing resources, coaching/teaching/train associates, ensuring accountability, and providing feedback. The supervisor will develop, implement, and audit daily standard work, drive a culture of continuous improvement by conducting root cause analysis and developing/implementing corrective action plans. They will maintain the production schedule, meeting both quality and productivity requirements, and maintain good inventory control procedures for all raw material. This role partners with supply chain, quality, shipping, and other departments to ensure the team meets production targets safely, on time, and to established quality standards, and ensures timely response to operational issues impacting customer expectations and project cycle time performance. The supervisor must be knowledgeable of company policies and engage appropriate resources (HR, Safety, etc.) when required to handle issues that arise. They will support, communicate, implement, sustain, and consistently enforce all company policies/procedures, build and sustain good morale and attitudes among all reporting associates, initiate requisitions for open positions, and interview and determine the best candidate for the position. Additionally, they will document associate skills and knowledge to create a skills matrix of employee training needs and accomplishments, capture/analyze data regarding productivity, understand through observations the causes for high and low productivity, understand production requirements and direct resources appropriately to procure shipment items, and communicate decisions with data and documentation. The supervisor will maintain accurate timekeeping in ADP for all assigned direct reports and enforce safety rules, practices and procedures to assure safety of associates, buildings, grounds and machinery.
