About The Position

The Bernard Group is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Fabrication team. In your role, you will plan, organize and control production within the Fabrication department to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Requirements

  • 2 Year Technical or Trade School diploma or certification, or equivalent work experience required
  • 4 years minimum related experience in the Fabrication field strongly preferred
  • An understanding of plastics and plastics fabrication (required)
  • Conform to shifting priorities demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Prioritize coordinate and manage work in a fast paced environment
  • Display high levels of customer service responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization
  • Show professional knowledge proficiency and initiative in achieving goals and meeting company standards
  • Be able to identify, evaluate, problem solve and give direction regarding problem resolution for individual and team issues
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate internally and externally to ensure production schedule aligns with customer needs
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
  • Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
  • Handle the implementation and execution of training programs for new hires
  • Participate in performance management along with manager to provide coaching and feedback as needed
  • Monitor and review the performance of staff
  • Perform 1 on 1 training and set goals for improvement
  • Maintain appropriate levels of temp labor
  • Issue fabrication related stock items and order as necessary
  • Promotes continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety programs
  • Perform necessary inventory system and HRIS functions
  • Perform duties in other areas of the acrylics shop as needed
  • Drive improvements in material flow, including cell design and material delivery
  • Interact with other support departments as required
  • Performs miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by management
