About The Position

HiFyve is hiring a Fabrication Shop Supervisor for the 2nd Shift in Columbus, OH. This role involves supervising and leading a team of fabrication shop welders, plumbers/pipefitters, and laborers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The supervisor will assign daily work, monitor productivity, ensure projects are completed on schedule, and enforce safety policies. Responsibilities include overseeing the fabrication and assembly of mechanical components, reviewing blueprints, coordinating with other departments, inspecting completed work, and maintaining documentation. The role also involves training and mentoring team members in a positive, safety-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction or fabrication within industrial, commercial, or data center environments.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • OSHA 10 Certification required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or trade school certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of fabrication shop welders, plumbers/pipefitters, and laborers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
  • Assign daily work, monitor productivity, and ensure projects are completed on schedule while meeting company quality standards.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Oversee the fabrication and assembly of piping, ductwork, support systems, and other mechanical components according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Review and interpret drawings, isometric plans, and fabrication details to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to support production schedules, material availability, and project timelines.
  • Inspect completed work to verify compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of fabrication progress, testing, and installation activities as required.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members while promoting a positive, safety-focused work environment.
